Clinical Observations on the Therapeutic Effects of Basic Aluminum Surcose Sulfate ( Ulcerlmin ) in Peptic ulcer Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
For the purpose of l evaluating the therapeutic effects of ulcerlmin, the clinical observations were
performed in 11 cases with peptic ulcer (gastric ulcer 9 and duodenal ulcer 2 cases) admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine, Seoul National University Hospital.
The results, obtained after 4 weeks medication period, were as follows:
1 The size of crater or niche was found to have been much decreased on roentenologic examination, but the case whose crater or niche completely disappeared was not found within 4 weeks.
2. The occult blood in stool of all patients decreased or disappeared except one case with duodenal ulcer.
3. The subjective symptoms began to subside in 7-10 days and subsided completely by 4 weeks except only one case with duodenal ulcer.
4. Bleeding tendency was not detected on both laboratory examinations and physical findings during medication.
5. No side effect was observed during medication in all patients except one case of constipation.
